K&N drop in filter??

My local parts stores don't know what filter fits the SS/SC, or any other Cobalt for that matter. Can anyone tell me what size it is, or what other cars use the same one? Thanks.

To my knoledge, K&N does not make a direct replacement at this time. Modern Performance, which is a supporting vendor does offer modified K&N filters that will fit into your OEM airbox.

My parts department said that the part# for the 2.0L is the same as a Trailblazer w/4.2L. But I'm not sure if this changed lately.

The E1009 will not fit without being modified.
We offer the E1009 modified filter that we have been selling for nearly 5 months now at a great price, with ultra fast shipping. Its $49.99 plus $6 shipping, and we dont charge any sales taxes, and we offer toll free ordering ! 1-877-247-6366

We are very familiar with the Cobalt SS, and we have a Cobalt SS here as a project car that we have been using to test fit, and prototype parts on !

Give us a call, we would be happy to help, and could save you a LOT of time, effort and swearing.

I just looked at Modern Peformace's site. I have a 05" Cobalt LS (2.2L). Their is "NO WAY IN HELL" that K&N filter would fit. The air filter is almost triangluar in shape not square. Who are they trying to fool!

The part we are talking about in the original few posts, is for the Cobalt SS.
Your correct about the part shown not fitting the 2.2, and we are in the process of getting the correct filter for the 2.2. So, to stress again in my first post, we have in stock the Cobalt SS filter, but not the Cobalt 2.2 filter.

We are not trying to fool anyone either, so although I appreciate you bringing up this issue, I dont appreciate the tone your using insuinating we are trying to mislead our customers intentionally.

Och! That was harsh! You DO Show a filter for a 2.2L application, that filter will not fit.
I resent the fact you bit back I was not intentionally trying to bash your company, or your products. I was mearly trying to bring attention to an error on the web site! Do you regularly back lash at your customers....Or just me?

I don't see any 2.4L Cobalt performance products being mass released until about March or April.

I just installed the filter into my car.

The K&N Part Number is E-0777 and i installed it today... man it makes that blower louder likei dont know what. Not much difference at low speeds but on the interstate throttle response it much better.
