K&N was reporting an 8hp gain from the one they are working on for the SS. It says for the Redline is a 14hp gain. "Estimated Horsepower Gain: 14 HP @ 6000 RPM"

I hope it will turn out to be similar with the SS since both have the same engine.

Guys, just a warning. We've seen these Typhoon intakes have parts sucked off under boost and pulled into the turbo. Needless to say it's VERY bad news. Just be very careful of any rubber gromets if there is a breather hose going to the CAI from the valve cover.

Not saying it will be a problem, but it's happened before with our camp. I'd hate to see you kill a blower by sucking something in.

"Eat"on blowers only like to "eat" air and maybe some fuel and nitrous once in a while.

again, i can set up a group buy for all you if you want. i'm thinking of getting a K&N again since i'm going to run alky injection and it'll keep temps down.

i don't make any money off these buys, and we got our intakes for 215 + shipping for the RL, and they list for 380 or so.

again, the only reason i want to take the time to do this is i want to get an intake again (i sold mine after feeling how hot it gets at the track).

we got 30 people to pay last time, i might be able to get some people withRL's in on it again to bring the numbers up once it's ready for you guys. let me know and i'll start a new thread

hopefully we can rally enough again that we can significantly reduce costs for us. if you want to start a thread (i'm not here enough to monitor it) to start gauging interest, i'm all for it, not sure when it'll be out though
