Knock...

What does it feel like?

At like... 40% throttle in the low-mid rpm range it feels like my car loses pull, then gains it back, losses it again, then takes off...

Suggestions?

why are you testing 40%? Just mash that **** man.

But really it might be because your car doesn't know whether you want to accelerate slowly or fast. Sometimes mine does that when I press it a little to hard it will jump up like im at WOT but really im not.

your using 91+ octane right?

if you feel the car pull timing you need:

Better gas
Better tune
better spark plugs or gap
Cooling mods

Could be any of that.

thanks.. i just did the hattrick stu thing... hasnt done it really since then now that i think about it...

Gonna do the h/e later... still deciding between 250 for small one, or like 200 for the big one + more pita install...

I got the autolites about 2 monthes ago... i didnt change the gap... should i?

Its not the stage2 tune... it is but tweaked for a 2.8 pulley and such... anything else?

You're kidding right? If it comes to that point your motor is just at the point of blowing! SOMETIMES it can be heard in old carbed engines, but i'd like to see you listen for knock in these cars.

Also, to the original poster, invest in a scan gauge....I think whoever tuned your car didn't do a good job in tuning part throttle

your injectors still hate you. im betting your injectors are way over 100%.
you need more fuel and more cooling

It will show knock retard, which is how many degrees of timing the pcm is pulling in order to get rid of the knock...so yes haha

If you're going off hptuners scan tool for injector duty cycle, it's off and not as accurate as you'd think it would be

NP man..the gauge is amazing. You can read two parameters at once. It's a pretty sweet gauge. Besides a lot of import tuners always ask me what kind of gauge that is and when I tell them what it does they are amazed since I don't think they have a guage out there for them like that

I have the ss version...SS comes up on the startup screen...I heard they got rid of it but then I also heard there's an option in the gauge menu to turn it on...I don't know, i'd email aeroforce to clear that one up

My car does the same thing sometimes. Im 1 step colder plugs, cobra h/e, 93 octane. Im guessing its the GM stage 2 tune with the 2.9 pulley causing the small issue.
