Im not an expert by any means on hptuners, but my guess is that you wouldnt need a very expensive laptop to run it. I just went over to HP's website and you can get a base laptop from them for ~$450, and I bet you could find something cheaper used off of ebay, or on sale at your local best buy/compusa/fry's electronics

Not the best one out there but Office Depot has one on sale for $399 after instant and mail in rebates. I'm pretty sure it will run HPTuners.

yeah my guess would be that the laptop that is linked ^^ would probably have enough to run it, especially if you dont load anything else on it, or use it for everyday stuff...

I have a HP laptop i'd sell for $250 + shipping. It needs a new battery. It works fine off wall power. It also has extra memory in it with Windows XP.

werd...personally I got a really nice gateway for $449 a few months ago from best buy...that should last me well into the future. About the only thing that will hold it back is the battery once that goes....and yes you'll need a working battery since you can't flash with an inverter hooked up.Just buy a cheap new one & you'll be set.

you can also always get a bigger battery from the manufacturer, and keep the one that it comes with as a backup...

Why do you need a battery to flash?

well if your battery doesnt work the laptop wouldnt be on right? So your next bet would be to use an inverter correct? Well when your doing either a read or a write you CANNOT use an inverter. SO like I said, you need a working battery.

With the advances in laptops not to mention price drops alot of people have just stopped buying desktops(including myself). Get yourself a good laptop now & you'll probably never buy another desktop computer again.
