limp mode
limp mode
hey i was just wondering what causes limp mode b/c i just got it last night during cruise night and an awful smell was around too and it took a few mins to get the car up and running again but after the check engine light went away...
It usually happens when the airflow sensor readings vary greatly from each other which usually indicates a bad sensor or a leak anywhere between the air filter to the intake manifold. Check all your clamps and piping on the air intake and throttle body.
i took a good look under my car where the aem intake is and everything looks tight and good and yes i was on the throtle, it has shut down b4 when i was completely stock but not as bad as this prolly b/c i was on it a lil harder then usual and i just got the exhaust done a few days ago too...do you guys think there's a point in even taking it to the dealer and asking them what they think about it or if they can see anything??
