With the 2.8" pulley you'll need the GM Stage 2 belt, 60lb injectors, one step colder spark plugs, ZZP tensioner (maybe, depends on belt slip), and like said above, a tune. I would also recommend some sort of traction mods to help out with the added power.

60lbs with the 2.8 is overkill.

50's
if you don't plan on going lower then a 2.8

42.5's are on the edge, 50's would give a nice cushion

Don't know about a tune in Philly, but I'd say go for 50's with the 2.8

You can use a 2.8 with aftermarket 42's up to 6500RPM. 60's, I agree, are overkill. A set of 50's would be just fine up to 7K and even higher. But with stock valvetrain and bottom end, you don't want to rev past 7K...

EDIT: Damn Area, you beat me to it, nice info though...You are rep'ed...

depends on how cheap you want to be with them.

msd part number 2013
also, ford motorsports uses the same injectors as msd. just some food for thought. they just have to be high impedance

I thought the 50's don't work? Or are those ones in the link the actual ones that do?

you can not run 21 degrees of timing in these cars on the bottle. so you have to find a way to control timing for when you are on and off bottle.
if you do a 2.8, intake, and full exhaust, you won't need a bottle

i wouldn't say 50's are a complete waste. all boils down to what you are doing with the car. i have a goal in mind, and im pretty much there. then again, thats me

I have been tuning for quite a while....done stock....done 42# injectors and now 60# injectors.

IF you are boosting more then 15PSI you need 60# injectors to have a safe IDC (Injector duty cycle) enough said. I have the scans to prove this...

Example: my 2.6" pulley makes max of 19PSI with 60# and 21 degree of timing am sitting at 77% IDC.

The price difference is what between 42# and 60#? 60$ maybe BIG deal if that puts you in a safer enviroment why not. 2$ a day of saving....think about it.

50# injectors are a waste of time and so are 42# trust me on this....everybody here almost....are boosting over 15PSI!!

I cant say this enough people....this is not B.S this is real facts.
exactly what he said. Go with the 60's they are not overkill at all. Also they give you room to drop the pully in the future and can be tuned to have perfect drivability.

Yes, I have been using Tune Time Performance and I would recommend them to you, ask for Matt and tell him that Dan with the red Cobalt SS told you about them, he'll hook you up.
