Exclamation As long as its GM!

Well... I am selling all my stuff from my SS/SC cobalt. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/parts-66/everything-must-go-2-0-ss-sc-sale-18509/

After driving my brothers 451rhp vette z06 heres a video: http://www.getonitracing.net/members.../marksrun2.wmv This was a old run...he runs 11.3 now. 11.7 was before the line lock, sucky burnout, and without the new heads. I was quite dissappointed in the performance of my cobalt. He still gets 32mpg on interstate ate 78mph . I think I may have to move on to a bigger engine with more HP/TQ. Two choices are a Z06 and a Caddy CTS-V. Hmmm...2 door or 4? Either option I am going to supercharge after loving this supercharged car.

I may even get a 2007 balt ss for my 2nd car..daily driver next year we will see. But defenitely getting rid of the 05.

True, if I was financially able there would be no decision between a vette and a cobalt. I would take the vette yesterday

Duh, who wouldn't take a Z06. I guess if you can afford it, do it. Your talking like the price is nothing, lol. But for the cost, the Cobalt is a steal.

I originally wanted a vette should have gone that route in the beginning(insurance to high at the time), but no doubt I still love my cobalt as a daily driver, just presently looking for more. I am still leaning more towards the CTS-V because its 4 door luxury 400hp. I can always borrow my bro's Z06 as needed. He has sa 71 vette too!

Price is definitely an option. I am a full time college student taking 17hrs per semester and I work full time. I also own my own car audio & performance business. At the time it was not feasable, but now things are looking better. Yes the cobalt is a steal thats why i got it to begin with and most likely will get another one...just not the first years model.

I have a 550+ Hp able to make 900hp without issue Marauder for sale.... I'll give it to you for ALOT less than a Z06 or CTS-V and it'll out run a ford GT... one with less power has outrun a GT on tape at the track (pm me for video)

i do believe if you're willing to wait the 07 cts-v should come with a supercharger as an option. at the chicago auto show the whole caddy line up had supercharged cars.

Thanks, but I am a GM fan (current family: 01 Z06, 71 vette, 04 4x4 blazer, 05 balt SS, 98 monte, previous: 98 gmc sonoma, 89 blazer, 91 camaro, list goes on...not to mention my dad had a 64 vette) and a marauder is really not my style. I want luxury fast with the vette engine so my bro can help with the modding. Most likely the CTS-V will do the trick for me!

Not an option. I am looking at 30-35k for the car and 9k for the charger. Most likely an 05 cts-v or a 02-04 Zo6.

Go w/ the CTS-V...it's a foor-door luxury vette...you can't beat that. Plus like someone else mentioned you see vette's and z06's everywhere (well at least in Houston). I've only seen a handful of CTS-V's.

How many people do you see driving around a 550rwhp cts-v? They have a couple cobalts down here, but not any thats modded like mine. I am impatient so by next year maybe even summer they will have a lot more parts out for the cobalt. Thats why an 07 balt will be a #1 daily driver choice for me next year just not this year. Plus I put on to many miles on my balt in the past couple months I'll get a fresh one.

Yea true...I was living in clearlake on Bay Area Blvd. after Katrina, saw many vettes not any cts-v's. Actually I have yet to see any cts-v on the street. I would like to test drive one and see what its like. Tofu my bad I was unable to make it to H-town to go to the track with ya, but I can't go into Texas until my tickets get cleared up got 2 while I was there...have yet to pay them.

Buy an '04 cobra, and buy a 2.4L KB blower w/ 22lbs of boost (on stock motor) and burn your bro's vette. I don't care if you like GM cars or not, buy the cobra anyway.

How much do you want for the scan guage? how about the wideband? I might be able to take one or both.

z06? if you consider they are 50k more than a SS just think how fast your balt would be if you put 50k into it? Better yet with 50k you could probably put a z06 engine in your cobalt and make it AWD

If you can afford a Z06 or CTS-V why did you bother with the SS in the first place? That seems like a no brainer.

Like I said earlier it was not a choice at the time. Before hurricane Katrina I had 3 cars: Monte for stuntin, accord for daily 4 door, and the balt daily 2 door. Insurance was to high for the vette so I got the balt instead. But now I lost 2 cars got some insurance money...blah blah...new car in the mix.

Cobras are nice but they are not even in the same class as a Z06

Yes, Z06's are badass cars, but for thousands less you can mod an '04 cobra and hang with the "big boys"..I just say the the cobra because of money, not because I think they are better than a z06. Besides, they are no car to scoff at..even if you're a vette owner. Either way, you can't go wrong, that's for sure.
