Looking to go with meth

I have almost decided to go with meth. I want to drop down to a 2.7 and I also want to do meth but have never messed with it. I was wondering if anyone could let me know exactly what I would need to buy... switches, tank, lines, nozzle size, meth plate. Basically everything to get it hooked up and going. I have zero experience with this and would like to have a kit ordered in a few days so I can get tuned at BYT's meet on the 13th if possible. I haven't look on Devils Owns site yet, do they make kits I could buy or do I have to piece it together? Thanks!!

Best bang for your buck is Devilsown universal kit. Comes complete with everything you need minus the tank. A lot of people run a tank in the trunk. I tapped into my windshield washer tank and have the pump sitting behind my right headlight. It made wiring and hose routing a breeze. If you are going to run meth I would suggest hooking in a pressure switch so you know your pump is working when you have your foot into it. Better safe than sorry.

The pressure switch is what triggers the meth.

I have my pump and tank mounted in the trunk, there's a hose that goes all the way to the intake.

I tapped the red power line to the pump with a LED so it lights up when it turns on.


Biggest mistake I made was which hose i tapped for the boost pressure.

MAKE SURE YOU TAP THE HOSE AFTER THE SOLENOID, not before.
I did quite a few pulls thinking I was spraying meth (before LED) and I wasn't.. Could have been really bad since I was tuned for it.




Your best bet is devil's own, that's the kit I have and it's awesome.

and as far as meth goes, devil's own has their own forum where they show you different places you can get the liquid :p

Got the 2.7 ordered and I have the $ for the meth, now I just have to break down and buy it. I decided on the stage 2 kit from Devils Own but which kit....? Someone sent me a PM about buying a kit, not gunna get into details but if you read this can you send me a PM again, I deleted it instead of the post I meant to.

I have a pressure switch in line so that when the pump is on an led light lights up in my car so I know it's working. Thats what I meant. It's a nice safety feature. Whats not good about you're light set up is you can be getting power to the pump but that doesn't mean the pump is working. I used to run that set up and that happenend to me.

if your pump was never engaging then the tune wouldnt matter because it was in fact never seeing the difference while tuning the car

^^ this thats the issue i ran in to. Now that can be dangerous because at the time of tuning meth was working, then it stops now bad things happen

Lol yup. Luckly I have my interceptor annunciator set up for KR3 and it lit up like a christmas tree when I would put my foot into it so I knew something was wrong.

Dumb question but what i kr3? I have an interceptor but have no idea how to use half the **** it does.

To monitor knock in our cars with a interceptor you pick kr3 or knock retard 3 whatever it's labeled in the scan setup I forget. Also I would setup up the annunciator to warn you if your getting a couple degrees of knock

It's to monitor knock. If you flip through your functions you can get it to that and see if and when your car is knocking. But as rivaladore said you can set up your annunciator to the knock retard so when your car gets any sort of knock the 2 leds at the top lights up. It catches your eye immediately so you don't always have to sit and stare at your gauges.

My 1st interceptor lights up for any knock on the left and the one on the right lights up after my iat2s go over 140 degrees if i ever do

Just ordered the Devils Own DVC-30 stage 2 kit and the 2.5 gallon sump tank. Did you guys drill into your intake or did you buy a meth plate? I really don't want to put a hole into my intake so I'm looking at ZZP's spacer...but then I might have to cut the rubber elbow for my intake, gunna get the phenolic spacer also just to get thing that much cooler!!

If you do put it there you can always put a pipe plug in it to seal up the hole if you take the kit out.

Devilsown Progressive kit myself. On the old SC setup i had the meth plate but never got a change to actually run meth through the car since i turbo swapped it.

Anyways if you get the plate you will need a bigger belt. Thats about it. Take he sc off place the plate down and screw it back down with the new bolts.

I would just go with the intake method myself over this time spending 130ish on a plate.
