does it make the sound throughout all the gears, or does it stop at a particular gear?

maybe its time for new pads... seriously... some pads have this metal clip that will rub on the rotor when the pad is low. hence why it stops when ur not going anywhere?

reason i ask all the weird questions is because I think it might have something to do with your transmission. If it is your tranny, the only thing it sounds like it could be would be that you're leaking fluid.

turn the engine on and dump gas all over the engine and the flames should make the squeaking go away
