LS4 questions

Hey! So I just installed my LS4 on my 2.9" TVS. I change the number in the PCM for 4950 like I'm supposed to, but I can't understand how people drive with this LOL :P

In first gear, I feel like I have to hold the clutch for very long just to drive smoothly and I can't imagine how I would launch the car for a race either. Is there any other settings to change to make it more drivable? I love the instant boost in second and third and all...so its really just the first gear that I'd like to "fix" or get more enjoyable lol

It's just getting used too. I've had mine for a couple weeks and I'm still a little rough with it at times. I'm usually fine unless I hit the smallest bump, and then my foot rocks back and forth and I keep hitting the throttle lol. It's embarrassing when you take someone for a ride because it seems like you don't know how to drive a manual lol. The first week with it was just awful lol

You don't need anything for tvs, direct bolt on

But yeah, our roads here sucks, full of cracks and bumps because of our winters. So yeah, it does feel really nice once your past the first gear lol.

You can adjust some of the timing tables and decrease it in the area you are in when just starting to move. Pay attention to your histograms and decrease timing as needed.

You gotta make sure your TB spacer is big enough for the LS4. & The only real difference I noticed is throttle response. and it is actually a lot, A LOT faster..
& as far as DD'ing with it.. You'll be fine, just not for the first week or two lol.

It's easy for me now, & i've had it for a couple weeks. It was just the first week or two was difficult. Made me wanna get rid of it lol. But I'm used too it now so it's all good. It's kinda just like learning how to drive a manual again lol. You're gonna suck at it for a week or so and you're gonna hate it, but you'll get used too it shortly and be totally fine with it.

I have my ls4 with a tvs and a DD and tweaked the pcm to 5100 and its amazing. I do have to add it takes a little adjustment because it feels like a totally different beast

Ive had a ls4 on my m62 for about a year now its almost like normal..it did take a lot of playing around with the ve table in cruising cells and timing to hold the car back alil...i remember spining the tires every time i tryed to accelerate from a stop. Lol it takes getting use to and if u dont work it right u can burn up a clutch cuz u end up slipping it somuch to keep it smooth...i would recomend this tb for a race car or if it wasnt a DD for most ppl..

You guys are cute with your little fights Hahaha!
So yeah, is 5100 better than 4950 then? And for timing I'll need to ask James to see if he can do anything...yeah so response is crazy!!! I would just like to "fix" the first gear and get rid of some power lol
