LS4 Throtle body yes or no?

I am curious to know if an LS4 tb would benifit my car or no?

my mods are 2.9 pulley, 42lb injectors, Gmpp header and exhaust, zzp cattless DP, heat exchanger, zzp tune, and 75 wet shot of nitrous. What do you guys think?

i hear good and bad things about it.

i have one laying around here that ive been meaning to put on but you need to retune the ecu for the flow change..

in theory it should beifit you because of the size difference but from what i hear it can change the flow of air in a bad way.

tq is the biggest gain from it. If you tune for it, it'll drive just like stock.

Air reversion isn't an issue on the m62, with the TVS however it is.

there will be tons of ppl saying yes and tons saying no honestly depends if u wanna tune it or not cause apparently its a pain...obviously the higher hp guys / tuners and personal tuners have had success with what they have so going more towards what thoughs guys have can give you an idea of whats possible / isn't possible i like ot mention area47 cause hes extremely good for what he knows which is a lot fyi

It's not a pain to tune for at all. It IS a pain to use without a tune though.

If you want my opinion, I say stick with the stock tb unless you are upgrading to a 3 inch intake like ottp's, then it might be cool to use.

Either way there are better things to spend your money on then a throttle body, I would start elsewhere.

pretty much a expensive 200 dollar mod, that gives slightly increased low end throttle feel.

set the scaler to 4950 in hpt, and it drives like a normal Tb.

The gain I felt was just to minimal to justify spending 200 dollars.

Spend the cash on stg1 rotated mounts or stg1 axles instead; a much better investment IMO

You can pick up used ls4 tb's pretty cheap if you know where to look, granted he did get a pretty solid deal. They usually go for a little bit more then that, but if you look around you can get them for less then 75 bucks usually.

Got mine off someone selling it on the board. But I've seen them on ebay for 50-60 bucks and I've also found them online at car-part.com

With the mods that you have the ls4 tb is most likely going to help you out just when you put it on go and get it tuned right after....Im thinking about getting one too so let me know

Tuning isnt going to be and an issue. Is it a better idea to run a CAI with the TB or does it matter?....i use the air box mod for now.

having that adapter plate completely negates having the LS4 TB.
