LSJ clutch..

alright. so im going to be getting my 2006 chevy cobalt sc some more toys in the future. ive already gotta full exhaust, cold air intake and thats about it as far as performance so far. im soon getting zzp's stage 3 with 2.8 pulley and adjustable tensioner, with the stage 3 heat exchanger. im going to get there hptuner file for my tune for now.. eventually gonna get a pro to do it. now.. my question to everybody is. is anybody running basically what ive got with the stock clutch? i notice my clutch slips a little but already but only if im going hard from a stop. its basically only gear 1 to 2. then its fine.

so im wondering if anybody has this setup or has had it and has some input. im guessing a new clutch is NEEDED to have NO slip at all but for right now how would the clutch hold up as far as just normal everyday driving with the usual WOT's that everyone does when they are just cruisin on a backroad. ha

any help will be appreciated. thanks guys.

gmpp was 5-600 i think id have to look at my reciepts. i was having issues with clutch slipage when i was just gms2 and i dynoed at 245-250. gmpp is saposed to be to 350 if u are planning on going turbo or doing somthing more intense you will obviously need to get a better clutch

I've been hearing only good about the ky clutches and they are relatively cheap. The gmpp one is also very good.

Just get the GMPP, it will hold a lot more than your car will make. Mine gets abused to **** at the track and it takes everything. Also well over its "300hp" rating.

If you replace everything, the GMPP shouldn't cost more than 450ish. Depending where you get it from, 500 max.

If you want to save money you can get the flywheel resurfaced, but for 130, I just got a new one.

I hope you didn't pay that much. I got mine for about 270 shipped.

And to OP, get the GMPP Clutch. I have it, and although I'm stock, I have beaten the hell out of the clutch. Tons of launches, AutoX, etc. It's a beast.

I had the Hahn set up and until I put my psi up to 23, my clutch was fine. It didn't start to slip until a week of ~360whp lol. Maybe I just got a good one idk, but it held up against everything else I threw at it. But if your already feeling some, time for a new one soon.

I priced out the GMPP clutch, brand new flywheel, LNF flywheel bolts, clutch pipe, and it was $425, and yes installation is free also. I do it myself. It's not a hard job..

Mine was a little over 450 from CED I believe.

Clutch Kit, Flywheel, TOB, Clutch Pipe, Alignment Tool, New Bolts all around, and I also got LNF fluid at same time.
