LSJ Header and Downpipe Options

Looking to buy a header and downpipe in the near future and from the research that i have done it seems that i have 3 options..

1. ZZP or OTTP long tube headers
2. ZZP midlength header downpipe combo
3. Badmab header and zzp downpipe

I am putting on a 2.8 pulley and 60 lb injectors with a tune at the same time as the header/ downpipe and that is really all i will be doing to the car.

My concern is that the long tube will be a bit overkill for my mods and a little to loud for daily driving. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to the mid length or the badmab setup compared to the long tube?

Thanks for any input

Sorry, but we don't require anyone to become search engine masters to post here. If you don't like the question and don't want to answer it just move on.

I have the ZZP longtube header and 2.5 catback. Sounds phenomenal and gives you room for growth. It has allowed me to transition to my new setup without any problems.

Nothing like buying a product. Taking a day to install it for it to be junk. Then send it back and wait for another. Sounds like a good product!

badmabs crappy gaskets really didnt bother me, other than that i had to replace them with the stockers, but what really did bother me was the popping noise it was making.

the picture is of my badmab after 20 k. keep in mind, im on stock transmission mounts. however, it was making a popping noise from day one. after 20 k the popping noise turned to a whistling sound, like a gasket leak. it was terrible on fuel trims and it killed my drive quality at low speeds in 1st gear

take from it what you want. im not bashing, just showing my experience

Mine makes a tick noise when the engine is hot. But only when the car is off. But other than that no issues.

I got a ZZP 3" catted downpipe with a 2.5" flange. I wish ZZP sold a header separately because I rather stick with one brand. I'll probably be going with a Bad-Mab header at some point.

That tick noise you hear with the car off is the exhaust contracting while it's cooling down,

thanks for the info guys.. as of right now I'm leaning towards the zzp midlength combo.. seems like a good compromise between the other two setups.. I'm not going for crazy power here so i think that the midlength suits me well enough for what I'm aiming for

If someone wants I can post pictures of my Bad-mab header and the only thing it has done after 30,000KM is discolor like a normal header. The gaskets never gave me a problem either. That header posted above looks like my Ebay header I bought for my Civic.

yeah thats because badmab is the ebay header. which was originally the cobalt addiction header. its all the same design, and outsourced out of the country

I wasn't aware that the Bad-Mab header was made outside the US. I couldn't find a shorty header from ZZP or Vibrant. Any suggestions?
