LSJ Turbo vs. LNF

I currently own a 06 SS/SC with 110,000 miles on it. The car is 100% stock and now that my fire academy loan is paid off and my car is paid off what do you guys think. Should I invest the 5k into a Turbo LSJ or just buy a new LNF? I have heard the LSJ is a stronger block than the LNF, is this true?

The LNF holds 450 WHP safely so as long as you don't intend on going past that you don't need a rebuild. I would say to just get a newer SS/TC since it'll have less miles better suspension and don't have to spend 5k extra on a car only worth maybe double that.

I vote for newer LNF but its all in what you want

the LSJ is a great motor and is good if you want to make high power. Easier to get fuel requirements etc

If you are looking at a DD with good power, the LNF is better imo.

spend less then 5k on a turbo kit make more power then the lnf and not have a car payment
spend 300 bucks you got the brake setup from a salvage yard still no car payment
oh boy get the struts from c.e.d. guess what still no car payment

the lsj is cheaper to make fast

im with Mr. B on this one, .... car payments suck as you know OP you finally have got your car paid off so i would say invest in the parts and build it.

Built > Bought lol

It has 110k miles. I'd sell it and get a low mileage LNF, but that's me.

There aren't a whole lot of low mileage LNFs around anymore.

Its pretty hard to find a low mileage lnf. even my lsj at 24k miles is considered low.

Wayy too high of miles imo to comfortably slap a big turbo on there. I'd be on edge everytime I I got on it. I'd choose LNF, newer, less miles, etc.

I think someone needs their math skills checked lol, being that I priced out turbo swapping this car, and with lots of custom parts involved. Not bad really lol.

Low mileage to me when I was looking was under 25k, took me 6 months. That was over a year ago. There out there, you just have to look and be patient.

I second everything Rissa said.
