The main thing keeping me from doing a ported head right now, is the fear of yanking the head. Is it pretty straight forward for someone with mild mechanic experience? I've done all my own bolt-ons, etc, just never snatched a head off anything more advanced than an old SBC or a john deere, lol.

Its not hard at all, I was very intimidated when I first did it, decided one day I wanted more power for myself, so I pulled it off, ported it, and a week later it was running better than ever. For someone with less experience expect a possible weekend project, I was slow the first time just because I was nervous, now it can be done in just a few hours

wow how did I miss all this, prices can be had if pm'd
also, to the person saying they were told porting the exhaust side is dumb....that's a fail, on the lsj it's very benificial to these engines, gm did it with the gmr head
One of my customers gained 20 wph over an already ported head,

I don't currently have one finished, well i do but it's reserved for usmc, I can have one done in no time if interested
