Magnaflow Break-In

Ok I just got a new magnaflow yesterday, so whats the break in period for this bad boy? I love it, it sound way better than the flowmaster, and my car got like WAY faster too. I get torque steer like no other, my car says "lets go this way", I say "n-no I think we should go THIS way" and the car replies " Too Bad! We're Going This Way!!!" Its awesome, but theres still a little bit of rasp and I heard a broken in magnaflow with no rasp at all, I was just wondering how long before the rasp is gone (concidering thats why I got rid of the flowmaster)

Does it have some rasp in the morning when you first start it up? Thats when mine does, once it warms up, it goes away.

Axel back, 2.5" piping. Oh I don't have a resonator! I bet thats where the slight rasp is coming from!

Not a clue, it was a straight through oval shaped one, and sounds pretty damn good, almost like the corsa.

Probably with the res. being gone is why you are getting rasp. I left mine on and don't have any

I ditched the 40 series as well... Is your muffler a glasspack? I got an Apexi n1 fart can and I got rid of the resonator when the 40 was put on so far no rasp

sounds very good imo much better than the flowmaster... I will say NEVER put a 40 with no resonator on your car

Yeah totally with ya there! That flowmaster might have been robbing some power as well! I was really amazed at how much more power I had with the magnaflow, plus it sounds 10 times better! And no I'm pretty sure is uses metal fibers or something, its a straight through muffler though.

any flowmaster on a 4 or 6 cyl car sounds like a deseased cow.....imo....glad yall change...I don't have magnaflow experience but I do have dynomax experience on the Big block, mine actually go louder, I guess some of the mesh inside eventually burns up a little....can't say I have any rasp tho, and I would wage to say the rasp is due to the lack of the resonator...maybe you could slap on a dynomax bullet in place of the resonator to kill that rasp...

my boost guage hits 15 much faster glass pack's are straight through with like a mesh grill for the pipe and fiberglass packing around it. wel hard to explain but sounds like you've got one...

i got a full magnaflow set up on my car from the hi-flow cat to the muffler. with 2.25 inch pipeing. yea it is raspy on my car when its first running it starts sounding like crap at 3000rpms when i get on the gas other then that i like how its got the nice deep sound to it at idle.

Yeah thats how mine is, you can look through the muffler and see out the other side no problem. Yeah it has a mesh grill as the pipe inside the muffler to, it kinda looks like a really big wide resonator.
But my question was, how long is the break in period?

I was told by the shop that installed mine glasspacks take about 2 days... sorry for not answering earlier... Oh one last thing the fart can on my car is deeper than the flowmaster
