this may be a stupid question but.....

well here we go, ok i have the gm stage 2 installed on my car, but the problem is i have a brand new 2.8" zzp pulley to put on and I DONT HAVE THE TORX BIT to take off the screws.... how can i get the screws out without messing them up OR what is the thread pattern on them so i can replace them if i mess them up getting them out. I have looked all over for info on this but i cannot find where i could purchase the actual torx bit adapters i tried to talk to a dealership and they were like ?????? they had no clue, idk if there is a place to aquire the bits. WHAT CAN I DO

Does the ZZP pulley actually fit the GM hub? O)r do you need to put ZZP's hub on. You plan on upgrading to 60's getting a tune and possibly some cooling mods with that 2.8 right?

if you put that 2.8 inch pulley on without 60lbers you are going to lose power.

the zzp pully does fit the gm stage 2 hub, and i gots a few mods AEM dry flow, siemens 60#, ZZP full length headder and downpipe w/out cat, Snow performance methanol injection, Dual pass end plate, HPTuners, AEM Wideband, and some others, I was also hoping to find a way to get the old pully off today..... if it could be done without the torx bits, if not, hungryhip-ccp ill send u a message, also btw I Live in Jacksonville NC so if any of u live here or are close to here that could be helpfull too

I was on 42's and a 2.8. Had plenty of bottom and mid range power but I lost a **** ton up top. I would recomend at least a 2.9 at the lowest. You still on gm tune?

no i am not on gm tune now, i used the gm stage 2 tune as a basis to make my own tune with hp tuners, almost nothing in my tune now is stock. I havent done any tuning for the methanol yet, tho i have it installed, but i dont use it, i have a power switch mounted to turn it on/off. I need to get the 2.8 pully on first before i mess with that......

I got an idea tho could i use a flat head screwdriver or maybe a phillips head bit to get the stupid screws off?

I dont know who is confusing you guys with this information....
but your not going to "lose" power with a 2.8 on S2.

its not exactly safe above 6500rpms, but you WILL make more power.
hell, if you want, shift at 6500 and youll be quite safe.

The dyno confused me I suppose. I made more power up top without the 2.8 on than I did with a 3" and 42's and no cooling. But mine and his setups were different.

I dunno I just assumed with the stage 2 flash and then dropped to a 2.8 it would be crazy rich? I've never had a stage 2 tune so I dunno. Could be way wrong

qft power isnt "lost" your injectors just will go static at a certain point and your AFR will get leaner and wont be able to account for air density changes.

UPDATE: I found a tool to remove the screws, but there is now a very serious problem..... the retards at the dealership used red locktight to make sure the screws wouldnt come undone and now the screws are stripped out, the supercharger is off the car.... and to make it worse the pully is now damaged, so what to do now........ I am thinking get a pully puller and remove the pully and the gm hub, and replace it with a aftermarket one. or take the supercharger to a machine shop and have the pully removed. What would be the best course of action here?

no he wont

people ran it for years, never saw issues. I know may who had it, didnt have a single worry or issue for a LONG TIME.

Cooling mods like an he or meth would be beneficial, but not required.

well it just that its not safe ^^^ you can run it i ran it for 6mon or so while waiting for $ for 60's

i never had any probs but by all means i would never say its safe let alone reccomend it... i was pretty dumb back then, i finally had my idc checked and they were well above 100% sometimes as high as 130% towards redline...

but i had full supporting mods ie. 3'' I, H, DP, EX so i was moving a ton more air than just stage 2 with a 2.8, (so i needed way more fuel to match the air) so it really depends on your mods,

if anyone decides to run that set-up they should at least be running a aeroforce to monitor iat-2's and ipw and KR... imo

while I agree that its not really safe....I always like to add this too....
i have not seen one single report, of a S2+2.8 motor blowing due to static injector.
and there has been a TON of people running that setup. for a long long time.
