Alright I have had my system on for about a month now and it keeps getting more and more "raspy" I have checked the bolts to make sure they are still tight andthey are....I did notice a leak from the aft connection on the system, so I bought another gasket and replaced it...still not luck in fixing the "raspyness" Is anyone else having this problem with the megan setup?

At idle and low RPM's it is hella deep and sounds like a purring kitten but the instant I get on the gas it sounds like crap....Any Suggestions?

u can always get a new muffler...but to be honest its pretty normal reguardless of what u get..i have magna flow and have it and my buddy has a custom 2.5 piping and a flowmaster set up..still raspy

my megan was a bitch to get the connections to not leak, you have to line them up perfectly. mine is only raspy when the engine is cold. make sure you have the flanges lined up perfect

 

wait, so you don't like the rasp, but you're going to take out the resonator and get a dp without a cat? that will make it much, much worse.

Yea I know....sorry this is my first 4 banger since my first car....which was a 94 cavi that was stock...Did not really know what it would sound like I am just glad it does not sound like a honda lol

Yea and so far so good...Oh one more question about this set-up right now on de-cel I pop like crazy...almost sounds identical to an SRT-4 do you all have this "pop" as well?

 

yea its the unspent fuel in the exhaust being burned...happens when u have rich ass cars

 

Outstanding...would have figured I would be lean with the smaller pulley on there and the STG 2 tune...strange...oh wait could be that misfire problem again...lol...I can not wait to get my car fixed...

 

what size pulley u running? i think the 2.9 is as low as u can go if i remember right

 

I got 2.85 .... Area47 said I was safe with that he just would not go any smaller with out a tune....I am getting my car tuned in about a week tho...and I get a C-6 Vette to drive while it is getting done! Gotta love rich friends.

I hope so...I will let you know how everything goes by the end of the week...I will be getting the misfire taken care of as well as the tune. I am going to re look at how I have everything alighned as well. Thanks for your input so far!
