Megan Racing Exhaust

I want to get exhaust for my cobalt. I was looking at the Megan Racing. I like the way it sounds and it has a silencer. I was wondering how hard it is to take off the silencer and put it back on. I want to be able to have the silencer in during the week for when i got to work and school because i leave early and get home late and i dont want to wake up the neighborhood with a loud exhaust. but, i do want to be able to take out the silencer on say the weekends for when i am cruising around and stuff. any information would be helpful. Thanks

John

hello?

the silencer goes right in the end of the exhaust. then its held in by some bolts.

Hmmm.

That looks like it makes the exhaust very restrictive. Can you feel any performance difference with the silencer in or out?

no noes ever seen an exhaust silencer? of course its gona hamper your flow, in my 240 i shot it out on a down shift. but they really quiet the exhuast down. just dont try and take it out after youv been driving awhile.

with it in it sounds stock when on the road. but start up is a little louder. you can feel it more when the silencer is out. but even when it is in you can still feel some advantage to the exhaust. and yes do not touch it after youve been driving for awhile you will have a nice burn on your hand if do
