Melon's 400hp build or bust thread
Without nitrous 400whp is going to be EXTREMELY hard to do on the MP. Just dont get too hung up on a number and just enjoy the car if it pulls nicely. I know you have a good attitude towards it.
Yea I wanted to two tone it cuz it is different. He also polished under the blue so it all has the same glossy sheen to it. Sent me pics when it was all polished and it was tough to say lets go forward with two tone. But glad I did. I love it and that's all that matters
Not quite as good but still hit 309 horse for less than half the price of a TVS, sounds like a winner to me. Why so much meth tho? People i see on here with a TVS never use that big of a nozzle.
Even if you happen to match the timing table, you will almost never make the same power. E85 has more benefits than just octane....Sure if you are on a M62 LSJ you may get close or match in some cases, but when you start making bog boy power, not saying just ecotecs, E85 will start putting the distance between it and meth on the dyno. You need a hell of a lot of nozzle to try to match E85 at 600-700hp for example, and by doing that there would be a whole lot of possible flooding and inconsistancies going on. Even the differences between E85 and E98 become very noticeable at those power levels. Cant always just think about ifs and buts in the ~300whp range and this platform.
On smaller pulley TVS setups you can get close to the same timing, but you will start to sacrifice power slightly on that large of a nozzle unless you run straight methanol. Progressive controller and 4 port injection would be the bet way to go about that if someone wanted too. Personally I would leave it on a smaller nozzle and what it makes it makes, without getting too dependant on tons of methanol. Some want more though.
when the time comes for tuning and everything i will have steve play around with the tables and amount being sprayed. if i start to lose power after a certain point then i will dial it back and assess my nozzle situation then. i got such huge nozzles so that i don't have to worry about maxing out any of the smaller ones. i don't drive my car a ton as i live across the street from work and school is only like 4 miles away. i plan to have it tuned moderately aggressive while staying more on the conservative side. if that makes any sense. lol
