Exclamation meth

My friend has a jetta 2.0t and he installed meth only instead of puttin it b4 the tb he installed it directly into his engine. I know he has a 2 gallon meth tank n he has to fill it once a week I dunno if that helps but I guess the more info the better. He has a **** load of mods almost everything u could think of except a aftermarket turbo and nos. He raced my friends mustang which runs 13.2 and lost by a car length b4 the meth. Now I on the other hand ran 13.9@102 mph and since then I put a catless dp header meth w/ 7gph nozzle traction rods motor mounts 60 lb injectors 1 step colder plugs h/e and a tune. I don't know what I run now but I have 2 questions 1 is my meth set up better mine is injected in a tb spacer as opposed to his directly into the engine?. And the second question is can I beat him? Please respond back asap thanks guys!

yes it does matter where you put it... directly into the intake manifold on our cars is best... alows for the cooling to be directly inside the intake manifold... although it wont affect it dirasticly.. you should get him pritty easy ... its a 2.0?? and jetta?? are u sure ur not thinking of a 1.8T? 2.0t's come in the newer passats... and some audi's buti dk lol i havent worked at VW for a while now... but i would say u got him specialy if he is a 1.8t( walk him hard!)

I've got the 5GPH nozzle mounted in the intake. Meh. Meth alone will actually hinder performance until you tune for it. Also keep in mind that the meth/water mix will make a difference as well.

Also, what Meth kit did you get? IMO, Stage 2(progressive) owns all.

Sorry to thread jack, but, I have read that injecting meth through the blower degrades the coating on the screws, is this true?

yes, it's true.

My M62 has about half the coating gone off the rotors after a year or so of methanol.

Does it just remove the coating or does it actually eat away at the blades?

To my knowledge the coating is for noise reduction however I could be wrong....

As it stands right now for the OP. You will be slower until you tune for meth. Adding meth alone causes your car to run richer thus making you slower. If you tune for it, you will notice a difference. I was going to run 50/50 mix, but to hell with that. 90/10.

Have u really been running 90 meth n 10 water? How has that been working out any problems? Is that a lot more powerful the 50/50?
