Meth?

Is Meth mandatory with a TVS DD set up? I'm not going to say I'm never going to pull her.

Right now I have the TVS with a bad base tune and my IAT2's are decent after a pull. Meth isn't constantly used. I'm about to install mine in the near future. If you track it or pulley it I would install meth.

Necessary? No. Advised? Yes. Bika has a TVS and isn't running meth (Or really any cooling mods IIRC) and he made just over 300whp at our dyno day a couple months back. I asked him about it while we were there and he said you just have to be extra careful and watch for knock.

If you can run E85... you don't need Meth.

Personally, I hate Meth. You'll never see it on one of my cars.

Eh...it's inconsistent, but if used properly it certainly helps with detonation...plus it smells delicious The guys that run into problems are the guys that run the maximum possible timing they can with the best conditions they can. One misfire of that nozzel or low voltage moment to that meth pump and you get a super lean condition in one or all of your cylinders..and well...you know the rest of that story. Meth can be safe, or it can be lethal to a motor depending on how far you're pusing it.

I would definatly upgrade The aftercooler. No doubt about that. I just wanted to make sure I'm not planning to do something that is going to harm the car.

I'm running a 345whp TVS setup with all stock cooling - I went the E85 route instead.

Meth is unreliable, pump could not turn on, switch could not get activated, line or nozzle could get clogged, I ran it for years probably would never again on a street car

No compressor technically "needs' E or meth, but with better cooling any compressor will be capable of making more power.
