Meth before throttle body????

So I have a Devils Own progressive meth kit, and I just recently bought the part that allows you to tap the coupler before the throttle body because I am now running a TVS and the throttle body spacer doesn't fit.

Now that being said, are there any negative to running meth before the throttle body? Will this mess up my throttle body or my TVS?

I'm running a 50/50 mix and I'm debating whether or not to pay extra and have the intake manifold tapped for meth with a check valve, or if its just as good to just tap it at the intake coupler before the throttle body.

Any thoughts? Anyone have some insight on this?
How is Area running his? ANyone???

Most methanol injection companies recommend pre-throttle body injection.

i have the devils own meth kit as well and i bought the wrong spacer so i just drilled a hole in my intake. Runs fine. My TVS is on its way so when i change them i can see what the inside of everything looks like.

So does everyone think that you should use meth pre-throttle body or post?

Has this ever happened to anyone? And how would this happen?

Also any other opinions on pre or post throttle body? What are the up and down sides?

yes; most systems put the check valve by the pump. That leaves fluid in the line. depending in install the fluid left in the line could drip (siphon doncha know) into the inlet tube. The RL has a 90 degree drop to the MAF the 'Balt has a slope down and then up to the MAF so its unlikely tohappen, but smart guys would still put the check valve right next to the nozzle, and use an aquamist sensor to indicate that the nozzle is indeed spraying.

I prefer the TB spacer, but have an RL. OUr installs on 'balts put it in the tube before the TB with the check valve by the nozzle...theoretically, spraying before the TB is best. Thats all I know other than this: meth in this hot weather is worth a lot even tho' I run 94 octane 10%ethanol gas, with a tune that can handle no meth....a solid robust tune from ....area47 St.L/Mo....

Could you give me a link to this aqua mist sensor? Where do I get one, how much is it, and what does it do?

Also what do you think is the best check valve to buy? I have devils own progressive kit.

lol now that means your deffinition of best lasting the longest and maybe my deffinition of snow performance being the best and lasting the longest is irrelevant since its only an opinion, if you had facts THEN it would be relevant to the statement you made. not being a dick just sayin

Im going to be running mine after the TB also to OP

not being a dick I have a meth install I purchased from Hawlyns 711 and use every day. Have you installed it? I purchased Devils Own conponenets to update Hawlyns's set up, I dont know why he sold it. I will point out that I found that Devils Own provide parts to some of the other meth kit sellers; for example my experience has been that the Devils Own nozzles are superior to the other vendors.

Aquamist stuff is very good not cheap I have not seen anyone else use their stuff on these forums, and as you probably know, meth injection has been popular long before the Cobalt SS/SC came out in fact, 1960-61 GM ran oem water injection from the wwaf bottle for a turbo application.

im not saying one is better than the other as it doesnt matter to me as long as it works. im just saying that his opinion on whats best doesnt necessarily mean it is. thats all.

A flow sensor. But I have heard devils own check valves aren't very good so I would take one of them too.

the flow sensor is just that. it doesn't have the properties of a check valve.
