Absolutely it's worth it. Cooler intake temps and allows you to run a more agressive tune. A lot of people on here get brainwashed and scared because if your meth fails your motor can go down. There's always the possibility of it but if you take proper safety precautions like hooking in a pressure switch with an led light so you know your meth is on and setting your interceptor if you have one to light up when you get knock, watch your stuff and you will be fine. I've run meth in my car almost since day one and had no issues. Bang for your buck is devilsown stage 1 kit. 5 gallons of meth costs me $25 and I mix it 50/50 with distilled water. It's super cheap to run. Just make sure you get tuned for it.

It's a great mod. As bluelightning said, as long as you maintain the system, you shouldn't have any problems. Just check the pump and nozzle filter often to make sure everything is ok. Meth itself is pretty cheap depending on what you run. A lot of people run windshield washer fluid with some Heet added to create a 50/50 mixture. I don't care for that idea though simply because of the dyes and detergents in the washer fluid, so I buy straight methanol and mix 50/50 with distilled water like bluelightning. You can get 100% methanol by using bottles of Heet or buying it by the gallon. Speed shops and race tracks should sell it and its fairly cheap. Costs me $2.95 a gallon and then like $1 for the water.

If you aren't lazy about it meth is easy to maintain. Like the others said find a way to monitor your system (light or interceptor) and you'll be fine.

I have a methanol question.. How often do you have to fill the methanol tank? And is it better to buy the pre-mixed methanol/water or buy straight methanol and mix it yourself?

Oh.. And is the aem methanol failsafe a good purchase or would it be better to just by a gauge to monitor the flow of meth?

It's better to buy methanol and mix it yourself. Much cheaper and won't have dyes and other crap like that. Refilling it depends on how you drive and nozzle size. It only turns on when you are in high boost at WOT and its only on for those few seconds so a tank will last awhile

Well doesn't the progressive injection spray accordingly to boost? I'm a newb to all of this. I'm doing research before I install this.. I currently have 3"dp, vibrant headers, phenolic spacer, dual pass plate, 60's, 2.6, WickedSS hptuned..

Sorry, what I'm trying to ask is does the progressive water/methanol kit spray as soon as boost is achieved??

So back to my original question.. I'm not too familiar with meth injection but understand the concept.. What's the difference between the progressive meth injection and a standard kit?

Progressive is controlled by boost like starts spraying at 10psi and full spray at 20psi.. Basic is just, when you hit xpsi it sprays full blast

Can you adjust the pressure it activates on them? Which is better?

I prefer progressive. It mostly just depends on what your tuner wants to do. Talk to Tom. Even though he's anti meth baha. && yes you can, in both kits.

Yeah lol anti meth and anti cams!! He told me yesterday that cams weren't beneficial when he was doing his build so he don't know about them.. He's tried to talk me out of meth but with all the new stuff and failsafe features from what I gather as long as your not a idiot and keep an eye out and do the required maintenance then there's no harm at all..

How exactly did you run your led? T into the meth line to a pressure switch then to a light?
