Pretty simple... who here if anyone is running meth injection and race gas on their LSJ? I would like to know what kind of results you are having and what kind of timing you guys can get? I'm at 24 degree right now with meth alone and would like to see what some 110 in conjunction with the meth will do Let's hear some input!

 

well really meth does not get higher in octane with the kind of fuel your running. if your meth mixture give you 110 octane and you put race gas in your still going to curve around 110 octane. so i guess it depends on the octane of the race gas... your already pretty advanced in timing as it is...so why more?

 

better question. why? you can only make so much power. when you hit that wall. you have to find other ways of going about doing it. at that point race gas actually might hurt you.

 

I will be using 110 octane race gas as stated above... Pump gas is 93 here so with meth i'm likely around 100 daily. Increasing the timing will definately yield more power for the car I was just wondering what other guys are seeing or even if it has been done? I'm not looking to do this daily, simply for the track for a bit of a power increase and a bit safer on the engine.

When I ran race gas on my Cavalier in conjunction with meth I picked up over 40whp than with just meth alone... I was just wondering what the results were here on the LSJ.

 

most timing you can run is @25.5 degrees, just lean her out a bit and you'll pick up a decent amount of power on race gas.

 

Thanks Paul, I pulled my most recent tune off the Cobalt and found i'm actually only at 22 degrees right now so i'll bump her up to 25 and get some logs to check for knock then start leaning things out a tad.
