Meth into Intake Manifold?
Hey guys,
I couldn't find anything on the subject, but I have a question here.
I recently purchased a meth kit from a member on here. (brideout_8).
I am wondering about if I can tap the meth directly into the intake manifold?
I do not want to take the intake, as the alcohol will corrode the blades of the supercharger. I was thinking of a spacer, but tapping the intake manifold seems like a DIY first.
I want to drill into the intake manifold and tig weld a 1/8" NPT bung in, and screw the nozzle into that.
Any suggestions? Has anyone tried this? What would be some advantage/disadvantages to this?
Thanks everyone!

Technically u can and technically u have it get the meth to all cylinders. So if u tap into the intake mani, u need a check valve for the eth line, and u need to make sure the nozzle is pointed correctly, and also with the correct valve. U need to tap the meth nozzle going up a tad bit so the meth is not directly pushed down. But thr meth will not corrode the aluminuim if u keep maintance up. Id do a throttle.body.space with it being tapped for meth.

The main reason for meth is for the octane, not for the cooling of the blower..
But I already stated I don't want to spray into the supercharger.
Thanks for the advice on tapping into the manifold though.
There's a supercharger spacer as well. To be honest, it just looks like an overpriced piece of steel. Kind of why I was thinking of tapping into the intake manifold. Could I not do it at the very start, before they split?

^^^^^^ u r talking to the wrong peraon about meth lol. Meth has more then one characteristic. Cooling and octane. Cooling the sc will create a denser charge into the intake mani, if u do it after the s.c then the s.c will get a more aggressive heat flow. If u tapped before the rotors it will cool the s.c and increase capabilities and life foe the sc. Trust me on this I'm pretty smart with meth. Meth can, cool, but can,be used as a denser fuel. Using a 50/50 mix will get u lowr iat2z and u can increase timing. Runni.g 100 meth u won't get the best cooling charge. If u r only using it for octane. Y god I hope u know how to tune or u have a good tuner.

Yes and it works well, though you should run one before the blower as well. You will not corrode anything
Make sure you get proper atomization and not shroud the end of the nozzle. Weld the bung center and high enough so it can mist & enter over all four laminovas.

I'm also on meth injection installation, I search from vendedors as snow perofmance, ais, aem, etc about their recomendations to have the best possible setup. Some say placing the nozzle the closest to the combustion chamber is better but AEM, persist on giving time for methanol mix atomization, placing nozzle in the intake pipe.

if you take the intake manifold off, there is a pop off plate on the bottom of it. drill and tap it here. it looks similar to a freeze plug.
you will not hurt the blower by spraying through it.

Okay, thanks a bunch guys. I'm glad to hear this. Does anyone have a picture of specifically where they placed theirs into the intake pipe?
Also, is there some sort of plug to seal it nicely? Just because it's like, 1/16" plastic..?
