Meth+nitrous= ok??

I have a question....can you spray nitrous at the same time as meth or is that gonna be bad? Say like meth injection with a 2.5 pulley w/ full bolt ons and a 35-50 shot of nitrous. My friend told me the nitrous would freeze the meth shooting rocks of frozen ice into my engine!?!

freeze the meth? I highly doubt it.. especially on a small shot like that,
actually it's a good combo as it reduces detonation, and raises your octane, letting you run a shot with full timing and gain even more power.

it will hold together for a while... as long as it isn't knocking... but I doubt the head gasket will stay together for long.. damn shitty stock head bolts

Do you think if i put the new head gasket in with the good headstuds it will hold together alot better?

I dont know a whole lot about our LSJ but I know Chevy has always made a strong block and I think your top end would be the only possible problems. Maybe that head gasket and new studs would do it for that small of a shot, I don really know

50 shot with a 2.5 should be ok for a while... I"d go with the 35 cause on our motors a 35 on an NA motor will come out to like a 50 on ours due to the cooling effect.. I'd start real small and work up from there.
you could also just replace the head bolts with arp or eagle studs.. don't even need to remove the head to do it. cause the stock head bolts are the weak spot... stock headgasket is a MLS so it will handle a good amount.

you could do that... I"ve used that method before on small blocks so I guess it should be ok. just remove and retorque in sequence.

Is there a how-to to swap out the head bolts or is it pretty straight forward?

change the head gasket + head studs... then u should be ok,
word to the wise: get a wet shot

you need a torque wrench..

I was thinking about doing this as well but i have a 2.7 pulley. I have a nitrous kit laying around and was thinking about installing a 50 shot with the meth my meth kit. I talked to snowperformance and they told me the benifiets of doing meth with the nitrous. It seems like a really good idea. I might try it and see what happens. I will only run about 13* of timing to start off with. I guess all i can do is hope for the best.

I would run a larger pulley and more nitrous and cut out the meth.... Nitrous is WAY more effective at adding power than putting on a smaller pulley.

The meth could freeze from the nitrous, if you spaced them out I doubt that would happen.

Well i was gonna spray the meth in the intake tube and spray the nitrous after the blower. I was gonna buy the spacer kit for the manifold for the nitrous. Do you think thats good enough?

if ur gonna spray meth after the blower get a 2 way check valve so ur blower wont suck meth in lil by lil. its my only complain over the spacer. but yeah, freezing rocks made of meth.... funny **** lol
