meth and pully

ganna install my snow stage 2 meth kit and take it down to the preformance shop and just have them tune the car spot on. i have a 2.6 pully that i can slap on. with the snow kit would that still be in the danger zone to run a 2.6? and when i install the meth kit would it be better to have a tb spacer or just tap into the cai??

what other mods do you have? especially injectors, if you have stock injectors I hope this is just a joke, even with the stage 2 injectors your probably gonna blow the motors even though meth will help add a little fuel, really you need 60's, if you have 60's and meth you SHOULD be ok. If you have 42.5's, dont go smaller than a 2.8 EVER even on meth, and even then, 2.9 would be much safer. If you have stock injectors I wouldnt even bother with a pulley.

Bump.

I'm curious about this too b/c I was looking at the same meth kit and maybe getting a 2.7 pulley and 60's to go with it so I don't blow the car up. It shouldn't be a problem but I wouldn't really want to go below 2.7, 2.6 mayyyybe, but thats pushing it IMO.

I'd be more worried about the blower than the engine with the 2.6"; since you have all the cooling mods you should be okay. Run it a little richer to be safe.

It's cleaner to have a tb spacer tapped, but it really makes no difference; it depends what you're comfortable with.

the cooling mods doesnt cool the blower itself tho it cools the intake. i was thinking maybe getting a cry02 kit and putting it infront of my h/e or tryign to tap it in the intake to cool the blower.

Another question about the blower? say i was to paint it with Ceramic paint. or soemthing would that help the heat valve of it?

A lot of people are scared of the 2.6's and a lot of people have not had any problems with it.. I am running a Devils Own Meth Kit with ONLY a 3gph nozzle at the moment and my IAT2's are fine with the 2.6 and the car runs like a scalded dog!! Good luck

If I were you I wouldn't go lower then a 2.8inch pulley to be honest. If you get tuned for the meth you are going to see the biggest improvement, and you will feel it after the tune thats for sure. If you go any lower then a 2.8inch pulley you are dramatically cutting down the life of the supercharger.

The difference in your 1/4mile et's from a 2.8inch to a 2.6inch isn't worth the risk of your blower going out sooner in my opinion.

Also, I recommend meth over the cry02 because meth also adds octane to the fuel. Not only does it keep the iat2's cooler, but it compensates for detonation by adding those extra octane points in there. So you won't have to worry about that. If you go cry02, you would still need to run meth with the 2.6inch in order to keep you from detonating etc, unless you want to daily drive on race fuel lol.

So with all of that said, if I were you mate, scrap the 2.6 inch and go with the 2.8inch pulley as you will see massive gains that will put a smile on your face and still be safe about it. Obviously do this on 60lbers and if you can, get a tune for the methanol. As far as the injecting the meth on the cai or the throttle body, I personally went with the cai and am now thinking maybe it wasn't the best plan to put a hole in my cai. However I am not going to change nor sell my cold air intake, so its all good. If you plan on changing, selling etc your cold air intake it would be best to inject in the tb. If not it doesn't really matter.

I chose to inject it into the cai because it was cheaper and one less thing to mess with. As you can see in my mods list I had a lot on my plate to do.

Anyways let me know what you think of my feedback, hopefully this helps not only you, but other people. Thanks man.
