Meth quick connect leaking.. Anyone else had this problem?

So I went to fill up my talk today (trunk mount ais kit) and I noticed my quick connect was wet. I know its not the check valve leaking because I put a little teflon tape on it. But its the quick connect that screws into the check valve.. Kinda weird. Ill probably just go to the hardware store and get another type of connector to attach that hose.. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem?

maybe replace the teflon tape, it might not have sealed right
