Meth users look here..........

i guess this proves that water/meth will destroy the coating on the M62 rotor blades.

Need more details. Do you own a S/C Cobalt? As mentioned, mixture, how long, etc.

Alcohol has the same effect on regular old aluminum over time, too. Just ask any of the E95 Diesel guys in California.

I thought our 5th gen blowers had apoxy coating instead of teflon to prevent this from happening.

it says LSJ on it , However, I bet he was using washer fluid, or 100 percent meth.

Wow, your gullable. All the guy does is post a pic and you want to freak out? I've had the meth on my car for almost a year now (longer than this guy has been a member here) with no issues, and I spray a 70/30 PURE METHANOL mix! That pic doesn't look like our Gen V M62, the poster has a whole 67 posts-not enough to prove any trustworthiness. He gave no details or explanation either. I think that coming in here and just posting a pic without an explanation, stirring stuff up is stupid. I call BS untill a valid explanation or real proof is shown. Which is probably going to be hard to do.....

Gullable? Hmmm try more like cautious as I don't want to spend 1300 on a new blower, until we figure this nonsense out i am not buying the meth kit.
_Bad06ss_ I appreciate your opinions but if they insult other members keep it to yourslef. until i see some pics of your blower this guy is going to be the one I trust he has pictures you do not. Now granted this could be from anything but until we found out I'm assuming its true.

When did I insult anyone? I never insulted anybody, I doubted his claims. No problem, I am getting my blower ported in a few weeks, I'll post a pic before and after the porting, and then I'll post my timeslip for you too.

You have the right to believe whoever you'd like, but there's quite a few members who have been in this community awhile that have been spraying pre-blower with no issues. Again, most of the guys I'm referring to have had a meth kit on their car longer than this guy has been here. If there were issues, we'd know by know. The GEN V M62's do not have teflon coating, they are epoxy.

I'm still not convinced that this is a picture of our blowers. However, on the OLDER generation blowers, they had teflon coating for SOUND purposes. If the coating is stripped, it makes the blower louder, but does not hurt performance.

Only blower i seen that looks like that had teh bearings fail...and that was my blower. The bearings had been making noise since day one.

The other car here...Fast06ss...(he posted earlier in this thread...not rob) has 0 rotor wear...and Rob (fastss06...confusing ******* names) noted no wear on his m90 gen v or m62 gen v blowers spraying meth thru em

I have had some wear on my rotors since day one. It's on one rotor only and it's gotten a little worse with time and nitrous/fuel mixture passing through it.

Our rotors aren't Teflon coated which wears off with time, our is some epoxy compound. If you have a Teflon frying pan and use metal on it you know Teflon won't last forever.

That said, water is a universal solvent and with time will break down any substance. I would also be concerned with corrosion when using water with metal.
