Minimum to reduce engine movement

Ive broken the flex section on two stock down pipes and i thought switching to an aftermarket dp would be enough to prevent this from happening again. Apparently not according to the disclaimer I just saw on zzp's website. I don't have an abundance of money to spend right now so I'm wondering what would you guys do to prevent this from happening again? Would ottp's rotated engine mount be enough. It says it prevents wheel hop by aligning the axels but does it also keep the engine from moving like a solid mount would? I don't want additional cabin vibes. What should I get to prevent breaking another flex pipe and reduce engine movement and wheel hop?

All those mods, and nothing for the mounts? Dude, you're lucky you haven't broken the tranny yet. No disrespect, but if you want a quick fix that's cheap, get the 50 dollar inserts from TTR. It'll work until you can afford something a little more comfortable.

Ingalls TD set to the stiffest setting works for my ZZP setup.

The earlier ZZP downpipes broke because their welder didn't use common sense and tack welded the flex to the pipe. I bought their interlocking flex and welded the whole thing on like it's meant to be installed and have had no problems with my setup.

I dunno if its because i got different tires or just take it easy on launches but I haven't actually hopped my wheels in forever which is why I haven't taken any initiative to get traction mods. Would solid upper engine mount be enough?

Why would you not want one of the cheapest yet most effective (IMO, for the price) mods?

Better yet, just do a solid upper engine mount. Works better than the TD and has minimal vibes.

Solid mounts just make the car ride like ****, ask anyone who's had them (I am talking about the transmission mounts). 90% of people who install them remove them because they make the car unbearable to live with.

Also, ZZP's new downpipes supposedly were revised and no longer break. If it does break just do what I did and weld it yourself so you know it's done right and won't come apart.

Exactly after a short period of time, the vibs with our products almost completely go away.

Were you on the J-body.org back in the day? Did you have a Z24 (assuming yes, by your name?)

They are the LNF stock mounts, which are a bit more firm than the LSJ mounts...

i was having issues with my down pipe coming loose from my pace setter header. so i got the ingalls ETD and i left it on the stiffest setting no more exhaust worries and the vibes are minimal, aswell as 1st - 2nd gear shifts feel awesome.

That is the big thing with stock mounts, is the flex on downpipes cannot take it.

they're not rotated mounts, but they are the mounts from the wheel hop kit. the design on the LSJ mounts is a flimsy X bushing and it's just not that good. you can see the TC mounts are designed like a V bushing in the direction to provide the most support
