Modification List?

Hi,

Can someone post a list of mod's in a particular order of what could be done on a ss/sc. I think this would be valuable information for many people here on the site. Let's say start with a stock ss/sc. I imagine the stage 2 would be the first mod and then???

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Gabriel

This list is going to be insanly long. Do you want just performance parts? Or are we supposed to include appearence mods and all that other jazz?

There are a million different ways to mod your car, you dont have to go in a particular order.

Nope, only the performance. A basic list. I don't plan on going up to 300 HP or anything like that. From what I know, the ingalls engine damper, the exhaust, stage 2, cold air intake, are the basic mod's. I just want the basics. Am I missing anything obvious?

Thanks

Thanks, that looks amazing!! Is it in some kind of order, or, is it just a list in random order. (For each section that is)?

ps. Where did you get that? Is there a site/link?

If you don't want insane HP, just a little boost, I would go with

CAI
Exhaust
Header/DP
Stage 2
Pulley
HPTuners
Suspension

Depends how crazy you want to go with the car.

If I had one:
Motor Mounts
Transmission Mounts
Intake
Header back 2.5" longtube exhaust
Stage 2 with a 2.9" pulley
Port the Supercharger
Dual Pass Mod
Scan Gauge

Screw that HPTuners crap, lol.

That's IF you want to stay supercharged.

A Solstice GXP turbo would be a nice upgrade.

I currently have the stage 2, and I think the GM Exhaust is my next mod. Then the engine damper ingalls or the engine mounts + tranny mounts. I am looking for info as to what's best. From what I read, the motor mounts make a knocking noise. And then the ingalls break in the long term. So I don't know what to do for now.

The wheel hop is annoying and I really need to get rid of that. Certainly in the rain, it's even worse. So, tranny mounts and engine mounts will solve this? Or the ingalls are a better option? What do you guys think?

I have had my Ingalls for 1 1/2 years & no problems, You might want to think about better & Lighter rims & Motor mounts just make Vibrations a little stronger! you can feel the difference with the Ingalls & anything will break after being abused to long even Motor mounts over time will go bad depending on abuse! But they both are a great combo together

So you're recommending the ingalls damper and the motor mounts? Do you think the dealer will install these to avoid warranty issues?

The Ingalls only reguires a 14 mm I think been a while, The Motor Mounts just reguire a Jack & a Few wrenchs. I dont believe the dealer will install aftermarket parts!

depending on how much you're planning on modding your SS/SC, stage 2 isn't worth it. You're going to spend all that money and then (like i did) you're probably going to drop down to a smaller pulley (like a 2.7). then you should get 60# injectors, a tensioner, a retune, and 1 step cooler plugs. then the only thing you're going to get to use from stage 2 is the belt, which is pretty cheap by itself. that's one mistake i made so i'm just trying to put it out there...

Ditto>> I made same mistake when it 1st came out, Then 2 months later HP Tuners came out & I bought that. So in affect I bought it 2 times, But the HP Tuners has paid for them both Now!
