i think itll take more than that for sure to beat one especially if its from a dig, consider lots of traction mods as well... this car is by far the wost car ive ever driven when it comes to traction, mind you im used to driving my 300zx i recently sold so totally different. i love the cobalt i just cant stand the traction problems it has. i cant wait to do my traction mods for spring.

dont mod your car to beat one specific car thats dumb, beacuse there will always be another sti that will embarrass you.

but to answer your questions. 2.8 pulley- injectors-tune-intake, and you should get him pretty good from a roll...from a dig...well thats never going to happen lol

I agree, modifying is meant to enrich the persons interest in cars, not to try and keep up with one type of car. If you're modifying to beat a specific car, than you're modifying for the wrong reasons. Do it for yourself.

It adds power by leaning out the AF Mixture. I got three on my CRX and one APC sticker. I got like 30 extra butt HP. To the rear wheels yo!

with someone that actually knows how to launch an sti....a cobalt is never going to be able to match the 60 foot or get off the line like an sti can(unless on DR's)........now a cobalt catching an sti through 2nd and into third......i dont think thats out of the question, but may be rare beacuse with just a few mods to the sti and its out....on most of the cobalts

2 ways to beat a sti the "cheap way"

way 1
dumb friend and some nails (it will be hard to launch with flat tires)

way 2
pull out these

ok so because a cobalt will not out launch an sti, it cant beat one? which is what you originally said. thats just ridiculous. it is very very easy to make the cobalt a much quicker car than an sti for the same price of a new sti. there will always be somebody faster
