most reliable way to make more hp

ok so right now im just stage 2 and want to start modding once this semester of college is over and im able to get a full time job. this is my dd so i want to be able to go wot every now and then and not hav to worry about my engine blowing. my plans so far are a header/dp combo, larger heat exchanger, and custom tune for sure, but i need help with my selection for injectors, pulley size, and meth or other cooling mods. how reliable would it be to run 60's, a 2.85, bigger h/e, and a custom tune?

thanks

How about this for ya. http://www.ottperformance.com/Cobalt...c87a84c1de30f0

theres your 2.8 with 60s and a custom tune. for a BAD ASS price...

An h/e would be optimal for that setup, so check around that site, they sell one which is REALLY nice...

reliablilty depends on tune. OTT has proven to be very reliable

there is a shop with hptuners near where i live so im gonna get a dyno tune there to free up the most hp, but i would definately buy the ott kit if i didnt hav access to hptuners. What cooling mods would be neccessary to get rid of heat soak if i ran a 2.8?

many times the deciding factor is all about how good your tune is. a 2.85 and 60's are perfectly safe to run as long as you have a good tune.

this would work well with that setup, or a nice meth setup if the shop knows how to tune.

im fairly certain that the shop is able to tune for meth, but will ask before i get everything ordered when i hav the cash and time to do everything....would i not have to worry about heat soak and my iat2 stay pretty cool if i just ran a h/e and meth or would i hav to run other cooling mods like a dual pass endplate or option b as well?

You could no doubt and it would lower them to but on a 2.8" pulley you are fine with just that

h/e and methanol is more than enough to cool a 2.8"
you could get away with just a front mount h/e technically.

you can get there kit without the tune as well its just easier than peicing it together.

run the ottp kit. if u alredy got gm stage 2 . well upgrade to 60lb injectors, and a 2.8 pulley with colder plugs and the ottp tune. and add atleast a heat exchanger and if u have the funds a dual pass or meth. or both? and with ur dp combo u should b at a good set up.
