Mounts!!!

How many engine and tranny mounts are there? How do they look? Where are they? The reason i ask is cuz i got a 07 SS s/c used and i can feel vibrations at low speeds on the highway on really smooth road and sometimes when im at a light i can feel the car vibrating. I need to find out if their are already aftermarket mounts on there.

Those are inserts right? They they make the whole mount? Are the inserts hard to put on or in? When i was looking i only saw one set of tranny mounts. Are all the mounts the same size?

yeah, they're just inserts but really easy to install. just remove the whole mount, put in a vise, get a large screwdriver between the mount and plastic sleeve and it'll pop right out. then with the center metal tube (can't remember what it's called now,,,duh) out of the new insert, grease it all around, wedge it in the mount as best you can and hit the high end with a hammer and it'll go right into the mount...no problem.

The 2 lower mounts are the same size, I don't know about the upper one under the fuse box.

not sure, but my understanding is that polyurethane is much more durable than rubber, so I'd assume they'll last for a good long time, had mine in for about 5,000 miles and was under the ride yesterday installing my twin subframe bar and they looked just like the day I put them on.

Yes they will work well, however just keep in mind that a solid upper mount has been proven to be better(by those who had the Ingalls and then when to the TTR Mount).

im just solid mounts on the tranny and engine might cause too much vibration.... but the added traction might be worth it.

also if you want to try putting them in the freezer for a couple hours and then moving fast hammer them in. freezing makes it smaller

But it will make them harder.... I still think the easiest is a little lube and a rubber mallet if you dont have a vice Whatever works best I guess...

So TTR fabricates the one visible motor mount on the passenger side of the engine bay, and the two lower tranny mounts? What about the one under the fusebox, and are there other motor mounts?

The fuse box one is the last one, which no one makes "yet" we will look into this and see if we can get a new product released (most likely next year)
