MP90, TVS 1900 or just turbo?

Hey all. I would like to stay supercharged even though i understand turbo is cheaper for more power. But im wondering in order to run the MP90 or TVS1900 whats required? Just the standard injectors, pulley, belt, custom adapter plate?, and a tune? Are there any companies that make this as a kit for our cars or we looking more custom at this point?

In the end is it just not even worth the hassle? Just go turbo?

A TVS bolts right on. You would need 80s, pulley, belt, cooling mods (h/e), possibly meth, and definitely a tune...And as far as $$$, a turbo is more expensive than a TVS.

ZZPerformance - LSJ Turbo Complete Swap Kit #ZZ-LSJTSWP

OTT Stage 3 Kit

And also, depends on the power and money you want to spend. TVS and such is around $2500 + you'll want to get another tune, not this canned tune. A turbo will run you anywhere from $4,000-$5,000 + another tune as well. So basically $$$$

Never seen one with a 1900...But I'd go turbo unless you like the get up power of a supercharger.

For the 1900 to be an effective upgrade over the TVS 1320 you will need quite the head combination. The article's mods don't hold a candle to what is required.

Btw... that 370hp from the article is @ the CRANK

but is the 1320 efficient enough to get to the 370 even at crank without really straining the motor and everything else? i understand no matter what its more strain then stock im just referring to is it like if i ran a 2.5 on stock blower that its so harmful and inefficient that it doesnt make sense?

1320 is way more efficient and if u throw meth at it I'm sure 370 is attainable. I'm gonna b running a ported mp90 with meth and head work, lookin to break 400whp

I'm the proud expecting poppy of a euthanasia fabbed MP-90 kit, can't wait!

Ati sc balancer and euthanasia ported head on a zzp forged LE5 short block, cams, all the fixings, hoping for an easy, easy 340ish on a nice dd mellow tune.

Lysholm 1600AX
MP90
Magnusson 1900

any of them would be a nice build, but with all custom builds, better be ready to deal with the costs

MP90 is sort of fail. Here it is vs a pretty basic E85 2.9" TVS setup.

Blue - Him

The TVS 1320 would be considered an M82 as compared to a M62 or M90. But it is way more efficient.

Twin Vortex Series or bust!

Diff dyno

I had 16-18* advance in the midrange

24 on the top

Eric is right though, better off geting a tvs if you ca. The mp90 if purchased cheap is a great upgrade over stock

60 whp/25% gain for the MP-90, I can live with that. And like you said, AK-47 reliable.

Did you log the 4 IAT2s?

On methanol all 4 fourth gear pulls on the dyno do not exceed 135 degrees F. IAT2 w/ a starting point of 100* iat1 in 65-70* weather

I may still have the logs... if I have time I'll see what I can find.
