they're not going to make much of a difference on the ss unless you're 400hp+. we have a damn good ignition system with the coil packs on each spark plug

On most performance cars today the ignition is damn good. Unless a more/less agressive curve is needed or they have like 500 HP you don't need it.

Most of the difference that he is feeling is due to weight reduction in his wallet.

It would be "Bling Bling" only... until you start breaking Trannys with HP. Then it might do something...

Well to start none of the msd dis controllers will work per msd at sema. When I asked, I was told our ignitions are similar to the lsi coil on plug that has a firing module in each coil. Where as older dis systems the module is seperate from the coil.

The only thing you might notice with the MSD is smoother idle and very slightly faster reving...no extra HP though. You would use a DIS 4 system. (4 coil packs)

NO the dis 4 will not work due to the control modules in the coil pack vs standard dis where the module is seperate. This comes from the engineer at sema.

Damn, that sucks. The nice thing about the MSD, is that you can set the rev limit with the ignition just before the fuel cut off, and have it sit at the red line, rather than drop a bunch of rpm's because of the fuel cut off.
