Murdered SS Fake Build
So just wanted to start a thread about my progress with the Balt. A little back story so about 6 months ago i messed up my motor. I was saving up to do a LSJ-T build but those plans have been put on the back burner for now. so the plan now is
The car has been in the shop for about 1.5 month. The shop that its at is a friends of mine. he found me a used lsj motor that had about 75k and I'm getting a year warranty for the place they bought it from. They motor has been received and is at the shop waiting to get installed. All i'm waiting for is OTTP to send me my parts.
the part that were ordered are
Spec stage 2+ clutch,
upgraded TOB,
Ottp timing kit,
Ottp stage 3 kit with 80# injectors, 2.8 pulley
dual pass endplate,
new clutch lines
ebc drilled and slotted rotors front and rear
ottp sts with delrin engraved knob.
Part that i already had that will also be installed
new master cylinder
aem fuel pump
ottp fuel pump rewiring kit
ottp cable clamp
ottp break lines
dual interceptor gauges
Carbon fiber trunk thanks to Riceburner
front and rear tow hooks
ingall TD
CAB bushings.
I will be running the ottp tune for a bit. My friend sommer has someone that tunes here in town after he gets his LNF tuned i will get a tune from him. Also thinking about going E85 tune.
Some of the parts already on the car are
option b
ottp H\E
zzp shorty header, and custom manga-flow exhausted
Hurst sts and base bushings
fidanza flywheel
Clutch masters stage 2 clutch
pedder coil overs
varrstoen es2 18 rims
depo gen 3 headlights
aem uego wide-band
stage 2 rotated trans mounts,.
I think that is it for parts. I am looking forward to getting the car back on the road. I know its going to feel a lot different. She been missed since the day i messed her up. So I'm really looking forward to driving the balt again. So i will keep you updated on the progress. I will be leaving on Monday for 10 day for work. So i hope the shop receives the parts soon so when i get back the balt would be ready to go.

im very rarely pissed
all the time keeping 3 on a chain is tricky
what you younglings don't get is when you bolt on parts your not building your engine and that is what build threads are for building your engine not having bolt party these threads are about as equal to someone making a build thread for tinting the windows on their car

Just an update on the balt. New motor went in also with some of the new parts. Clutch, flywheel, fuel pump, 80# injectors, master cylinder, and new coupler and supercharger oil.
Still need to install
2.8 mps waiting on pulley puller
Rotors
Brake pads
Ottp sts
Dual pass
Cf trunk
Painting calipers blue
Rewire all stereo system
Tune
The buff and wax
Can wait to drive the balt again. It's been a bit of a wait looking forward to having her back.

your not building anything
you don't need to change anything

Adding parts to your car that are not factory is in essence "building" It. Our goal is to make our cars unique to the owner that is modifying it.... whether performance... appearance.... ect.
Installing cams... or putting in pistons is all the same as any other bolt on.. It just requires more time and money. You are still simply replacing a part that was on the car all along with a newer updated performance part. You aren't BUILDING anything.
I get annoyed just as much as the next guy about certain things on these forums... but the OP is literally installing a new engine.... with multiple aftermarket parts.... and new parts.... and is being called a "Fake build". Pssh.
Good luck with your car MurderedSS.

^^ This entire statement makes no sense. If this were what a "build thread" is for... then we ought to be forging our own parts from scratch and writing our own software to program our modules with and naming the vehicle after ourselves. That is truly BUILDING. We are all bolting on parts. We didn't create these cars. We Modify whats already there to make it better.
