My Cobalt is loving the Cold weather anyone else?

this is nuts, today i felt like hitting it in the cobalt at 44 degrees and it was like 80 something the other day and now its 44 tonight, and decided lets hit it, IAT2 didnt wanna go above 115 and the coolant temps didnt touch 185 it was awsome cold air, and well i hit it and i felt the car jump harder and faster, but could a couple days and shed 40 degrees make this car a real monster?

well lets put it this way, i did a run from a 40 in 4th gear and the thing took off and the MPH's rose like nothing, i was at 80 in seconds, then next thing i looked i was rising to 115 and more, and it just kept going

I heard cold air also causes your car to run lean. If your car is running lean its going to run quicker and more responsive...but it may not exactly be safe.

Here in Vegas, going from 100+* down to 75*-80* in about 4 weeks made an amazing difference on the butt dyno...

cold air doesnt change airs density enough to lean out a car that much

climate, humidity and elevation can.

cold weather allows your IATs to stay low.
keeping those low allows your PCM to advance timing quite alot compared to hot days.
more timing + dense cold intake air = more power

and trust me, while it may lean out a tiny bit, its not going to be much.
and since GMs tunes are so disgustingly pig rich. your miles from being "unsafe"

i'm running a 3.1 pulley stock injectors and tune also, and am seeing about 14-15psi in this cold weather also.. I love it!! usually only see 12-13 on a normally hot day.. (stock pulley my car would hit 10 psi on a normal hot day)

I usually see about 16psi , when it's cold like now i'm getting a little more . It's hard to say on the stock gauge , but im guessing around 17psi .
