Not bashing on you but it should only take 20-30min to install the intake.It's easier if you remove the driver side wheel and fender liner,much easier so when you have to clean your filter you can get through there or by removing you headlight.

I am betting he was just teaching his daughter some basics on how to put things on etc. It is a lot easier to picture when you can see the whole thing without a bumper in the way.

Oh for sure.

When cleaning the filter it is a lot easier to remove the headlight on the drivers side along with the plastic holder for the headlight. Simple job.
