My dyno pull

Hitting the dyno today @ 2:00pm EST.

My brother, who has a SICK Evo keeps bugging me on getting a dyno pull. "You need a baseline, all you have is a CAI and you need to know what you're baseline is since you are planning on modding it out" And of course I keep just brushing it off.

So I get a voice mail today "dude you're set up for a dyno pull at 2:00pm" So it looks like i am getting a dyno done later today. I will post up the numbers and sheet once I get home later.

Think I will be anywhere close to the 400+ HP/TQ of my brothers Evo? LOL.

Does that include the extra HP from my arm rest and window tint? How about if i go out and get a couple vinyl stickers right before my pull?!?

Dont know what Dyno it is yet, but I will know in an hour and half!
Will post up all details later.

Well I can tell you that on a dynojet, someone dynoed 235 whp with just the Injen CAI on an 06 ss. I was pissed off because I dynoed 234.7 with a 3 inch pulley, cai, and exhaust.... on the same dyno too the same day

also the weather could affect your numbers you put up on the dyno just keep that in mind. I know I was a lil down with my numbers I put up but it was a shitty day when I did my baseline

Ok here is what I got. 4th gear pulls.
The numbers seem kind of low to me, but who knows.

Bro, those numbers are exactly right. I just dyno'd last night with what's in my sig and hit 242whp. Very humid too 71%. So your numbers are perfect!

Question, when post up my max power (like if I add it to my sig) can I say 218.26 hp 190.46 tq? Or do I have to go with the best pair and not switch em up? Just don't know what is proper dyno etiquette is. lol

You should get a torque brace from ingalls and dyno i hear it makes a world of diff look at maxpit's torque and hes stage 2 but has in the 240's.

It won't make a bit of difference on the dyno. The brace doesn't make your engine more powerful, all it does it help you get the power to the ground. On a dyno, traction is not an issue.

Your dyno numbers prove my concern. I had noticed that when i get on it, between 2500 and about 3000 my car feels sluggish. Well, the curves prove that it is normal. Ok now i feel better. BTW nice numbers!

Oh great dyno prophet, what is your prediction on my power on say a dynojet with the mods in my sig? Keep in mind the xenon bulbs are dyno proven 10 hp!

I love that long flat torque curve. One of the biggest reasons I want to get this car. You look at that thing and just know, with bigger injectors, a smaller pulley, and stronger engine (well, just a couple of parts really) that the sucker would keep pulling to 8k rpms or more.

Hummmm.... now thats an idea. Wonder how much work it would take to get an LSJ to be able to hit 7.5k to 8k redline without blowing up.

I mean other than just that little blip to 7.6k that FastSS got his to. What I'm talking about is going to 7.5~8k every time when your running it hard.
