My TVS Build & Dyno sheet

So it finally happened! The TVS is in and tuned. I decided to go with a mild tune for now so I can safely beat on it (j/k....sorta). And I'll definatley amp it up once I do meth. For now I was more concerned with it being reliable.

Any ways I'll post a bunch of pics of the car soon. For now here is my mod list and dyno:

2006 Cobalt SS/SC G85
Harrop TVS w/ 80mm pulley
60 lb injectors
1 step colder spark plugs
Hatrick stu mod
OTTP heat exchanger
Hahn shorty header
ZZP 3" Catless dp
Hahn 3" cat back
Turbo tech engine and trans mounts

Suspension:
Sportlines
OTTP stage 2 axles
OTTP Hardcore rear sway bar
DC sport strut bar

Appearance: alot... (once I post pics they will speak for themselves).

And my dyno sheet:

I think its pretty decent. Its a huge difference over the M62, and I just f*cking love it. With meth and a retune I'm confident I'll make close to 300whp but I might save up and build the engine and port the head...who knows.

Yeah I think porting will yield huge gains. I think that and meth would be nice. I will most likely have the head ported, throw in some better valve springs, and meth. Should have me easily over 300whp.

the ls4 is touchy. you will have to learn how to drive your car again.

But it will be so easy with meth... I hear you though. I wonder how much more agressive I could make the tune if I dropped in new pistons, rods, and valve springs. I wonder if I could break 300 by just doing that. Your making me question my next move....

u could up your compression with new pistons. that will create power. i wanna do a full valve train as well. either of you guys have any trasmission or drive axle upgrades. i was wondering how far i could take the stock set-up

scott how did you mate the ls4 to your intake.

I have the OTTP stage 2 axels. Other than that I'm just hoping the clutch will survive. It seams to be handling the TVS just fine. Never slipped to this day.

Doesn't zzp have a crazy M62 build? They are pushing mad power. Apparently people have made 300whp with the m62 but I have never met one or seen any info on them. Its probably pretty difficult. I wonder if it would be cheaper to buy a TVS or to spend all the money on additional mods to push a m62 to 300. hmmmm....

Just get a TVS. Problem solved.

good numbers for a mild tune. When i had my cobalt set up with a tvs i had the tvs with stock pulley, 60lb injectors, CA heat exchanger, 2 step colder plugs, meth, cai, torque damper, s2 rotated mounts, header, 3" downpipe with hiflow cat and 3" exhaust...i hit 281hp 249....lost 20hp at 3500 cuz of an issue with the tune....but your numbers are really good without meth...whats your afr/timing set to?

Wow... this is the first thread where a TVS dyno'd less than 300, and the guy was actually happy that it just performed better than the m62...

Good man.... glad to see your not one of the morons who says "Man if im not even close to 320 hp im selling everything!"

yea i find it funny that he's happy with it, considering all of the guys who get pissed about it and go on a rant. but it's a "conservative tune" and doesn't have meth. if they were to go aggressive with it... he'd be around 290whp IMO. and then add meth... 300+whp is definately possible.
