Pretty much....how can you make your car MUCH, MUCH, MUCH FASTER if you dont have any cash to do it with? You've pretty much done all you can with little money....if I were you I would start get prepared to go with big power. If you plan on doing a tvs sometime....headers if dont have that already...bigger heat exchanger...but basically keep saving your pennies chief.....thats about all you can do.

Well, if you are trying to make big power cheap, without nitrous, its not going to happen. You are gonna spend a couple grand to make power.

yeah im maxing the injectors out at 115% duty cycle at 250hp. fred from smg did my tune and set the car back to the stock rev limit of 6500 so i wouldnt detonate. from all the reading of done i thought SOME PEOPLE were having problems with the 60's also the with the gm build book arnt they getting 300 with the 42's??

sold header and down pipe for stage 2....... a good header is needed. not sure if like anything out there. alot of people are running the zzp. but i get the feeling its because they are cheap. id go full vibrant but kinda pricy. havent checked out the cobalt adiction ones yet...... anyway a good header and down pipe combo is on the list....... meth kit would be nice but id rather spend the 400 bucks on somthing else i have yet to see dyno numbers while people are spraying meth. how much does it really help???

Not to be rude...but if come on here and want real power and dont want to spend alot of money and shoot down the two cheapest answers..your gonna get cheeky responses. As far as turbo kits...hahn racing....but I really dont know what fitment differences there is between the ss and redline...so check that out...but its expensive..like 3500-4000g's I believe. But you get great power....as far as a garage.....as far as I know smg is the only garage in new england that has any good knowledge on the ecotec motors.....I have yet to find anyone else yet.

Well, only a few people have gotten there on a 2.5 or so with a ton of time in it to make it work. Its not easily repeatable or simple.

Meth does allow you to add quite a bit of timing due to the cooling and higher octane effect. Still not gonna gain 50hp or whatever, it all comes down to what you are really looking for out of the car as far as performance is concerned.

My favorite redlineracer is VyperPunk...he cracks me up with all his lame stickers and looks like milli vanilli

You could shoot down to 60's, 2.7, and a tune and you should get a good power boost...but I mean nothing is really going to make your lsj into a friggin supercar anyway. Since it's a daily driver that should peg you at 60 in the high 4 seconds (on paper)...um...what the hell else is that fast where you live?

Should have kept the header/dowpipe. Stage2 is worthless. Better to get a custom tune, pully, and a set of 60's. Much cheaper also.........cost me a whopping 350 for that when I did mine. Check out the Clear Image Header/Downpipe sale, good for 15+HP at the wheels. As far as telling this guy to go turbo, he already said he cant afford the TVS, wich is much cheaper so thats pointless.............

What the hell do I know though, I am one of those Redline Guys.........

here is the deal.... like i said im putting down 250 to the wheels now with the 2.9 & dyno tune. and im maxing out my 42lb injectors to 115% duty cycle at 7k rpm. so here is what its looking like....

if i pick up a header/down pipe, get a heat exchanger, meth, and maybe 60's plus a retune. how much power can i realisticly pick up?? that would be a large chunk of change to just pick a a few HP?!?!?!?!?

If its going to be a mild gain i'm thinking i would just be better off saving my money for a turbo or the tvs.......

I would drop down to a 2.7" pulley, get another header/dp, meth, 60's and a h/e and call it a day. Anything after that requires the big bucks. That should net you quite a bit though.
