Exclamation Need Answer Now!!

Alright, i have enroute:

siemens 60's
harness
polished 2.8 from sfph
polished hub
ottp dual pass h/e
stage2 belt
2step colder plugs
and then i'm going up to kc so brian can tune me...

BUT, apparently the ottp h/e is out of stock and was not posted that it was. so i ordered everything thinking it would all be here on friday and then ill go up to kc on saturday and have it all installed and tuned. soo.....question is, will it be okay to run this setup without the h/e for about a week or so (including passes down the track) and still be safe.

also, will it effect my power output once installed since i'll be getting tuned without it...

Personally I wouldn't run it on the track until the heat exchanger set up is installed. But that' just me being safe. How cold is the weather up there? It's been pretty mild and fairly humid down here. So again, that's just me being safe.

Also, haven't heard from OTT about having problems getting 60's have you? Just wondering. I'll be ordering the same kit next week and I wanna make sure...

It will be fine to run. H/e will make a difference once you tune it w/ the H/e. Nothing is wrong with that since you have the 60's. I think it's a waste of a tune though to tune before and after the h/e. Why don't you just be patient and shift the plans to next week or so..

because next week is gm tuner bash....and why would i need to retune after i install just a h/e....it doesn't require any tuning...what i'm getting at is, its not that big a deal as long as i don't need to get tuned for it. because heres whats going to happen. saturday i'm installing the 60s, harness, hub, pulley, plugs, belt and getting tuned. and then the h/e SHOULD be here by next weekend, so i can install it sometime during the week and be okay. so unless you, for some reason, need to tune for getting a h/e i'll be alright, yes?

and the weather is mid 60s

It will probably be okay to run on the track, but I would allow ample time for it to cool off between runs.

No? lol heat exchanger requires no tune. Sure it would help with keep IAT's down WHILE tuning, but probably won't make a huge difference.

lol. Having doubts are we?... Haha you're fine without a tune after the h/e but I thought I read that those were your plans. Don't worry about it though you're more than safe to run it the way it will be with the 60's and what not.

You have a dual pass correct? You would be fine without a H/E for a few weeks and there is no reason to get a tune for it. I would say you would be fine with just 1 step colder plugs.

no i don't have a dual pass, the ott h/e has a "dual pass" system built in to it. and i won't be making any hard passes without the h/e. cause if its not here by friday, it will be here in time for gm bash, so i'm not that worried about it anymore....tuning will just take longer hahah

You will be perfectly fine to run without an H/E or dual pass. When you tune you will have to take into account that you are not going to have any cooling mods. So, will will want to keep it a bit rich and not run timing till knock. Take it back a few degrees to be sure you wont knock when it's running hot.

When you get the dual pass and H/E you can run a more aggressive tune.

I really think a larger pulley would be better. *puts flame suit on*

no you guys don't understand. i'm not getting a dual pass endplate, the ott h/e has a dual pass design built in already...i think you guys are getting confused.

also. i'm gonna have him tune me just like he would if i had the h/e on there. cause i will by the time i do any hard runs. also. i wanna be a little on the rich side anyways
