Need a Deeper sounding exhaust!!

Just got tired of the way my gmmp tour muffler sounded so I hacked it off and put a dynomax turbo muffler on and removed my high flow cat to keep boost pressure down. Car is realy quiet, blower whines like raped bullfrog now that it doesnt have to compete with the exhaust note. So now im trying to find a deeper toned muffler to weld in. Any suggestions? I was thinkn the larger the body the deeper the tone, hmmmmm

You're correct - larger mufflers create a lower deeper tone, small canister one's tend to have a higher pitch (some crappy canisters sound like a weed wacker on crack). I've personally been happy with my large Magnaflow muffler/ZZP dp/header combo/Magnaflow HighFlo Cat....give a good deep tone around 2,500rpm, but a lil "bass" tone when easy on tha gas.

hhmmmm wonder what a universal large mm hks or greddy would sound like they tend to sound deep on 2.0 wrx's.

Buy an SR-S muffler or catback. Those are nice.

I have a custom bent exhaust with a magnaflow muffler and i love the sound. Except for right now because i believe my car blew apart and all the pieces are floating around in the muffler so it sounds like **** and i get that ying ying ricer sound when i get on it, but i love the magnaflow nice deep tone at idel and loud as hell when you get on it.

Magnaflow cat back system has a very nice tone. Not to loud, but not to quiet.

I don't get why people think they can have a "deep" exhaust, or even what that means. Every car is progressively high pitched under a load.

I agree, the 2.5" on your site is a very very nice blend. 3" is another story though. Just to clarify.

to exiged please school me on your deep thoughts or what deep thoughts are.... Anyway the mag muffler are they str8 thru like the gmmp and have a small canister for thats what i belive made the noise I hated. Also if its just a muffler Ill prob weld my gm tip back on but to me thats also changn the note. My stang with a x-pipe and no cats was nowhere near as DEEP as with 4inch tips, there was a more hollow type sound. And that was just in the tip change.

The magnaflow muffler is oval, not cylindrical like the GMPP.
