Need help!!!

I have a 2006 SS/SC, and i was wondering what stage kit should i go with to get the best performance! I have heard that GM stage kits aren't worth the money. If i could get some input from you guys i would appreciate it!

There is tons of information on the search for this. I don't blame you if you don't want to search though, because you will have to go through millions of threads, and half of them will be BS and arguing.

Honestly, it depends on what you are going for with the car. What kind of realistic horse power numbers do you want to put down. Is this your daily driver, or a weekend warrior? Do you drive it in the rain and snow? So many factors come into play. When I owned a 2006 cobalt SS/SC I kept it simple and reliable. I had GM stage II, Exedy clutch and flywheel, CAI, GMP exhaust manifold, ZZP 3" downpipe, GMP touring exhaust, and a few other minor personal tweaks. Was able to trap consistently around 107-108mph and mid 13s. Traction was always an issue with the cobalt.

Absolutely incorrect.

The stage kits are awesome. You have misunderstood. There are other "stage" kits you can get that come with a little more power, for around the same price as the GM stage 2, but you will lose your warranty going with anything other than GM.

What are you planning on doing to your car in the future?

Over 300hp can be done by using e85 fuel (you will need a retune, larger injectors, smaller pullies).

Another way would be to get the new upgraded TVS supercharger (roughly 280-300hp baseline, with tuning and cooling requirements to get any higher).

The best way to hit over 300hp is with a turbo, hands down.

Unless you use race gas, or switch to e85, you probaly wont get the stock supercharger to 300hp...
