Need Help Asap

Had oil change and the mechanic broke nipple on bypass valve. What problems could arise from driving it, have 500 mile trip Monday. MY iat2 is at like 165 and its about 20 degrees out, but does not feel hot when touching the super charger.Does that have anything to do with that. Also was gonna just epoxy it back on, or has any one tapped a new vacuum nipple on it. If i was to tap it would any of the filings that got inside the valve hurt it. So im asking what problems can come of it, and best solution to fix it. Sorry, for the long post thanks in advance.

bump anyone

haha that photo looks very familiar... wonder whos gallery you got that from

you can drive the car so long as you dont take it into boost.

recommend you get it fixed asap. the part cost roughly 90 bucks; im sure a member on here can sell you one.

and 165 iat2? are you looking at you mistaking iat2 w/ your coolant temp. displayed under your rpm and mph guage?

Ok man I been there I epoxyed mine when it broke drove on it about 1000 miles till I could find a replacement. If you stick it on cruse control and don't give alot of throttle changes that part won't had to work hard just don't hot rod till you get it fixed that's controls the pressure build up and bypass. I have an extra at home and sold the Balt so tour welcome to it if you like just pay shippin

K, ill hit u up on that part I'm gonna jb, weld or steel epoxy it. That stuff will make the spot, were the nipple is stronger then factory. So I think it should be a reliable fix. Thoughts. Really can't have that much of a vaccum.
