did you use the tool that comes with the kit to unscrew the bolts first?

I'm assuming you have the tool. Just hold the pulley with one hand and turn the tool w/ the other. It you cant hold it get a friend to.

Just wondering, are you getting a tune with that 2.79. Cause you may want to stay out of boost until you get a tune.

why would you pry the pulley off? after you take the bolts off the pulley should come right off the hub

Is the belt on the pulley??? If yo took the belt off the pulley already stick it back on there to loosen them.

Yeah but I don't want them to know that I am putting a smaller pulley on and also its a half an hour drive. I didn't know if there was some trick to get the belt and pulley to stay in place while I used a long bar to break them loose.

strap wrench and be careful not to strip the bolts, they have lock tight on them that is why the don't want to come off.

Nah, Just man up and grab that sucker and spin them. If you go back they are going to know your going to stick a smaller pulley on it. Their goes you warantee. when I did my 2.79 I just pushed down real hard on the pulley when I tuned it and It held, IDK what else to tell you.

Take the supercharger off and get a strap wrench.

And again they use locktite on the bolts

If the hub is still spinning even with the belt on, put the car in gear. Good luck man, I've heard many horror stories of getting the ring off after the dealership put it on.

(DIY FTW)

I had a buddy grab a hold of that sucker while I torqued it off.

The serious problems I ran into was stripping the damn tensioner....
