Need help identifying LSJ turbo kit.

Looking at buying this 06 ss lsj that has been turbo swapped with a “stage two” turbo. Only problem is the guy says the wastegate is stuck open. Can anyone tell me what the name of the turbo is or even the link to a wastegate from this picture? Thanks.

Could be a Tial, could not be. Good thing is, it is external, and easily replaceable by almost any other external wastegate or rebuilt with new springs.
Can't see the turbo.
The intake manifold is a "Vulcan".

I would avoid this car like the plague... or talk them down to a very low price.

I'm 99% sure that is a homemade turbo. Almost all wastegates have universal mounting based on their size and connection style. So in short, if that is TRULY the issue, it's a simple fix.

Looks like a knock-off HKS blow off valve. Even the non-knock offs are junk though, so no worries there.

They appear to have the PCV port on the back of the valve cover connected to the intake manifold... meaning they're pressurizing the crankcase when it hits boost. That's REALLY bad.

Looks like they probably bent the dipstick like crazy to have it end up there... so its reading may not even be accurate anymore. Honestly, there was no need for that; it'll rest in the OE position just fine. See reference image below (I have the same intake manifold).

Damn good spot. I'm curious as to how you knew that? Most people don't know Vulcan's stuff - they didn't sell a lot of it and I'm pretty sure they went out of business over a decade ago.

This forum scrambled the website name - but I found it. That makes more sense.

For some reason, in the hayday of forums around 2008 or so, the admins here blocked links to competing forums like Redline Forum or Cobalt SS dot com. Is a real PITA these days... it would be nice to have those restrictions removed now.
