need help! lsj

guys am in my home town for a short period of time and am trying to fix this issue with the balt.

it doesnt crank, all the lights are on and the security one doesnt go off. any ideas of what this can be? any fuses to look for? this is driving me nuts

i tried the security relearn but it doesnt work unless the security light goes off and it doesnt so i dont know what to do. any help is greatly appreciated

I had this last week and It was the battery. needed a jump.

ok thanks for the inputs but my father told me he recharged the battery just last week? can it had gone bad in such little time? ill give it a try

it's possible that even if he did recharged it, that the battery discharged in that short amount of time. another reason to just replace the thing.

^^what he said.

when a battery goes bad it simply will not hold a charge. the alternator could be charging it and it won't hold a charge. you can take it to autozone or pepboys and they should be able to load test it for you. if the battery is still good then look to your alternator.

the car doesnt seem to receive any signal, i have both remote controls with new batteries and the car doesnt respond to any button.

yea i was thinking maybe the battery didnt hold much since the car was not been able to turn on.

alsothey told me the trunk of the car was full of water from a heavy rain. how did that happen? no clue...

it's possible that the rubber in the trunk rotted out???? i have no idea though? unless someone forgot to securely close the trunk...also possible

yea i dont see how water got in there. this sucks! door locks, rear mirror lights, and windows dont work, but hids and exterior lights work. so i dont get it.
